The Radio Amateurs' Emergency Network

The Technical Team

The Technical Team has been set up to provide a focal point for all technical matters within The Network.

If you have any technical problems the first point of call should probably be the forum. This way you should get an answer from someone in another group who may have experienced (and solved) a similar issue.

If queries posed to the forum draw a blank after (say) seven days then the Technical Team will pick up the issue and start researching possible solutions.

The Technical Team may also receive tasks from other Specialist Teams within the Network as well as the Committee of Management itself.

As part of future work the team should also review any new technology and propose standards for use by RAYNET as a whole. To assist this process we would welcome reports on the various technical trials and investigations that are carried out by groups in the course of performing RAYNET duties.

All this knowledge is no good unless it is shared, in the long term it is hoped that datasheets can be prepared which will be available via the website to provide an overview of particular topics.

If you have any articles, reports, or suggestions we would be pleased to receive them via the contact form or post.

Please also let us know your difficulties and we will try and find a solution.
